With the increase in Strength to Sixty Children HOPE shifted to a school building in the Bidhannagar area of Durgapur. The building was given by Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Ltd.

Satellite Centre of HOPE, “ASHAR ALO” (Ray of HOPE) started at Barjora, a semi-urban place in the district of Bankura, West Bengal.
A major step towards rehabilitation of the differently able was taken with the opening of one general purpose store for grocery and stationary items at sector market of ADDA Bidhan Nagar. A Loom unit was set up at A-Zone township,Durgapur and ten boys and Seven girls were given training for production of hand towels and side bags.
Computer Learning Centers were sent up in both the Schools.
Sheltered Workshop:- Severe and Multiple handicapped adults were given productive engagement in sheltered Workshop in both the Schools.
Sand Therapy and Hydro Therapy units were set up in both the Schools.
The Audio Visual Hall of HOPE with Multimedia Projection facility was set up in the Centre at St. Paul’s Road.
Library and conference Rooms were set up at both the Schools. Seminar Room with Audio Visual Projection facilities were set uoat the HFC Centre. HOPE organized Care Givers Training Programme (Foundation Course). This course is approved by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and sponsored by National Trust, New Delhi.
Nursery level classes were started in both the Schools as an initiative towards inclusive education. Vocational unit of HFC School of Training was set up in the St. Paul’s Road School campus to run B.Ed course in Special Education. HOPE School of Training was set up in the St. Paul’s Road School campus to run B.Ed courses in Special Education.
Extension Centre Started at Laudoha to provide special education and training to differently able children of the Villages.
A Psychological assessment Unit was set up at the HOPE DSP Unit.
A well equipped sensory development therapy unit was opened in HOPE DSP Township.The funds for setting up the unit were provided by HHH , New York USA.
CRE program (Continuing Rehabilitation Education ) at HOPE school of training Durgapur. Thirty (30) teachers participated in a 5-day program.
